AthleteBound is a college recruiting platform designed to help student-athletes and their families organize recruiting activities, research colleges, communicate with coaches, and manage the recruiting process.

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

AthleteBound offers paid subscription plans. Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. AthleteBound does not store complete credit card numbers, card verification values (CVV), or full payment credentials.

Users may choose to connect supported email services, including Gmail and Microsoft Outlook. When authorized by the user, AthleteBound may access limited account information and email data necessary to:

AthleteBound only accesses information required to provide the requested functionality and only within the scope of permissions granted by the user.

Users may disconnect their email integrations at any time through their account settings or through the applicable email provider.

AthleteBound does not sell, rent, or use connected email data for advertising purposes.

4. AI and Automated Analytics

  • Opportunity Forecast Scores
  • Recruiting Health Scores
  • Profile Completion Scores
  • Recruiting recommendations
  • Suggested next actions
These outputs are provided solely for informational and educational purposes. AthleteBound does not make recruiting decisions, scholarship decisions, admissions decisions, roster decisions, or athletic evaluations on behalf of any institution. Users should not rely on automated outputs as guarantees of recruiting outcomes.
Analytics Services

AthleteBound may use analytics providers, including Google Analytics, to understand how users interact with the Services, improve platform functionality, monitor performance, and analyze usage trends.

Google Analytics may collect information such as:

  • IP address (subject to Google processing practices)
  • Browser type
  • Device information
  • Pages visited
  • Session activity
  • Referring websites
  • General geographic information

AthleteBound does not sell personal information. AthleteBound does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising purposes.

We may share information with trusted third-party service providers that assist us in operating, maintaining, securing, and improving the Services. These providers may include:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
  • Supabase — database, authentication, storage, and cloud infrastructure
  • Vercel — website hosting, application delivery, and performance services

  • Microsoft — Outlook integrations and related services
  • Security, monitoring, analytics, and customer support providers

These service providers are authorized to access personal information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect such information.

Following account deletion requests, information may be deleted, anonymized, or retained where legally required.

8. Children's Privacy

AthleteBound is intended for student-athletes and their families. AthleteBound does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate parental consent as required by law.

If we learn that information from a child under 13 has been collected without required consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

9. Google API Services Disclosure

AthleteBound may permit users to connect Google accounts through Google APIs, including the Gmail API. AthleteBound's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.

AthleteBound will not:

  • Sell or monetize Google user data
  • Use Google user data for targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral marketing, or profiling
  • Transfer Google user data to any third party except as strictly necessary to provide the platform's direct recruiting features, comply with applicable law, or maintain system security

Users retain the absolute right to revoke API access at any time through their personal Google Account settings panel.

10. Recruiting Data Disclaimer

AthleteBound aggregates and organizes recruiting-related information from publicly available sources, institutional websites, athletic department websites, coaching directories, roster information, and user-submitted information.

Information may become outdated, incomplete, unavailable, or inaccurate. AthleteBound does not guarantee:

  • Accuracy of coach contact information
  • Accuracy of roster information
  • Recruiting opportunities
  • Scholarship opportunities
  • Admissions outcomes
  • Coach responses
  • Recruiting interest
  • Roster availability
Users should independently verify important recruiting information before relying upon it.
11. Security

AthleteBound uses commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, users may have rights to:

  • Access personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete personal information
  • Request data portability
  • Appeal certain privacy decisions
  • Withdraw consent where applicable

13. Texas Privacy Rights

Texas residents possess specific rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA). These include the right to confirm processing, access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of their personal data, as well as opt-out of targeted advertising or sale of personal data.

Statutory Mandatory Appeals Process

If AthleteBound declines to take action on your verified TDPSA consumer data request, we will notify you without undue delay, and no later than forty-five (45) days after receipt of the request, along with the specific reasons for the decision.

You have the absolute right to appeal our decision within thirty (30) days of receiving our denial. You may submit your appeal in writing to legal@athletebound.com.

AthleteBound will respond to your appeal within sixty (60) days. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Texas Attorney General to file a formal consumer complaint.

14. California Privacy Rights

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). California residents may request:

  • Access to personal information
  • Correction of personal information
  • Deletion of personal information
  • Information regarding categories of information collected

AthleteBound does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

15. Third-Party Websites

AthleteBound may contain links to third-party websites, including college athletic programs and recruiting resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

17. Parental Consent and Minor Accounts

AthleteBound is designed to assist student-athletes and their families throughout the college recruiting process. Individuals under the age of 18 ("Minor Users") may use AthleteBound only with the involvement, supervision, and consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

By creating an account, registering for the Services, or providing personal information, users represent and warrant that:

  • They are at least 18 years of age; or
  • They have obtained permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Services.

Parents and legal guardians are encouraged to actively participate in their child's recruiting activities and use of AthleteBound.

Parent and Guardian Rights

Parents and legal guardians may:

  • Review information associated with their child's account
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of information associated with their child's account
  • Request termination of their child's account
  • Withdraw previously granted consent, subject to applicable legal obligations

Requests may be submitted to support@athletebound.com. AthleteBound may require reasonable verification of parental or guardian authority before responding to such requests.

Responsibility for Account Information

Minor Users and their parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that information submitted through AthleteBound is accurate, complete, and current. AthleteBound is not responsible for recruiting decisions, admissions decisions, scholarship decisions, coach communications, or opportunities that may result from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by users.

Communication Features

Where communication features are available, including email integrations and recruiting outreach tools, parents and guardians acknowledge that Minor Users may communicate with college coaches, athletic staff, admissions personnel, and other recruiting-related contacts through the Services. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of such communication tools.

Educational and Recruiting Purpose

AthleteBound is intended to provide organizational tools, recruiting resources, informational insights, and recruiting analytics. AthleteBound does not act as:

  • A recruiting agent
  • A talent representative
  • A scholarship broker
  • A scouting service
  • An admissions consultant

Use of AthleteBound does not create any fiduciary, agency, employment, representation, or advisory relationship between AthleteBound and any user.

Under Age 13 Users

AthleteBound is not intended for children under the age of 13. If AthleteBound becomes aware that personal information has been collected from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, AthleteBound will take reasonable steps to delete such information as required by applicable law.

Parents or guardians who believe a child under 13 has provided information to AthleteBound should contact support@athletebound.com.

18. FERPA Disclaimer

AthleteBound is not a school, educational institution, school district, college, university, or educational agency subject to the requirements of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ("FERPA").

Information submitted to AthleteBound by users is provided voluntarily by the user or the user's parent or guardian. AthleteBound does not obtain educational records directly from educational institutions unless expressly authorized and permitted by applicable law.

Users remain responsible for ensuring that any academic information shared through AthleteBound is accurate and appropriate for their recruiting activities.

19. State Privacy Rights Expansion

As AthleteBound grows, users may reside in multiple states that provide privacy rights similar to California and Texas. Subject to applicable law, users may have the right to:

  • Access personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete personal information
  • Obtain a portable copy of personal information
  • Appeal certain privacy-related decisions
  • Limit certain processing activities
